What is Super Mode? 


Super Mode is enabled through a software update that increases the GPU, memory, and CPU clocks, resulting in up to a 1.7x improvement in generative AI performance. This enhancement allows the Jetson Orin™ Nano and Orin™ NX modules to run a wide range of large language models (LLMs), vision language models (VLMs), and vision transformers (ViTs) more efficiently.

Availability 

For existing Jetson Orin™ Nano Developer Kit users, upgrading to the latest version of the JetPack SDK will unlock the benefits of Super Mode. Similarly, Jetson Orin™ NX modules will receive support for Super Mode with the release of JetPack 6.1.1 in January 2025. 

Forecr’s Compatibility with the Super Mode

Super Mode is fully compatible with Forecr’s Jetson Orin™ Nano based carrier boards and box PCs. In early 2025, we are extending Super Mode support to our Jetson Orin™ NX based products, pushing performance to 157 TOPS.
