DSBOARD-NX2 Overview and Connector Definitions v1.22

Forecr’s DSBOARD-NX2 v1.22 is industrial carrier board based on Nvidia Jetson Nano/TX2 NX/Xavier NX processor modules for edge analytics. It is compatible with multi stream deep learning applications.

DSBOARD- NX2 Power Button

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a power button for energize the platform. It is located on the front side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 Recovery Pushbutton

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a recovery pushbutton. Recovery button should be pressed with reset button at the same time. After released reset button, recovery button should be pressed a little bit more (min. 250 ms). It is located on the front side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 Reset Pushbutton

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a reset button. It is recommended to use needle-like material. It is located on the front side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 Power Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements 4-Pin Power Terminal Connector that accepts +9V to +28V DC power. The mating connector is "1708595". The first and the third pins are positive , second and fourth pins are negative. The power connector is located on the rear side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 SD Card Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a micro SD Card connector and nano SIM card connector together. The bottom part is used for micro SD card and the upper part is used for nano SIM card connector. It is located on the front side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 M.2 Key-M Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a M.2 M-Key Connector for suitable modules. The M.2 M-Key Connector is located on the bottom side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 M.2 Key-B Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a M.2 Key-B Connector for suitable modules. But because of the issues we had at supply chain we could not mount the Key-B connector.

DSBOARD-NX2 M.2 Key-E Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a M.2 E-Key Connector for suitable modules. This connector is located on the top side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 MIPI CSI Connector (Raspberry Pi Camera Compatible)

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements two MIPI CSI connectors with same pinout. The connector type is FPC Vertical Connector 15 Pin - Pitch 1 mm .The mating connector is "686715100001" (Flat Flex Ribbon Cable). The CSI connectors are located on the bottom side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 I/O Terminal Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements 14 pins GPIO Expansion connector which has 3 digital output pins, 2 digital input pins, RS232-RS422-RS485 & CANBus pins. The mating connector is “1790344” (DFMC 1,5/ 7-STF-3,5) produced by Phoenix Contact.

DSBOARD-NX2 Fan Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements 4 pins header for fan connector (same pinout as NVIDIA's Jetson developer kits' fan connector). It is located on the back side of the board. It mates with 0510210400 from Molex Picoblade series.

DSBOARD-NX2 Expansion Header Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements 14 pins GPIO Expansion connector which has SPI, I2C and UART standard pins. All signals are the 3.3V voltage level. The connector type is "DF11-14DP-2DSA(24)" . The mating connector is " DF11-14DS-2C ". The small arrow represent the first pin and the opposite of this pin is second pin . It is located on the bottom of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 Front Panel Connector

The power, recovery, reset button & Boot LED's signals located at the front panel connector. The connector type is "62201021121" from Würth Elektronik.

DSBOARD-NX2 HDMI Connector

The NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier NX™, TX2 NX™ or Jetson Nano™ module will output video via the DSBOARD-NX2 vertical HDMI connector that is HDMI 2.0 capable. It is located on the rear side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 USB 3.1 Type-A Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 incorporates 2 USB 3.1 Type-A connectors with a 2A current limit per connector. The USB connector is located on the rear side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 10/100/1000 Ethernet Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements RJ-45 ethernet connector for internet communication. RJ-45 connector is connected directly to the NVIDIA Jetson module. The ethernet connector is located on the rear side of the board.

DSBOARD-NX2 Recovery Mode Micro USB Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a Micro USB connector to allow to install or upgrade the operating system. It is located on the front side of the board. 

DSBOARD-NX2 Debug Mode Header Connector

The DSBOARD-NX2 implements a header connector to access the module by using ttl connection. It is located on the front side of the board.
